Building a more resilient Houston means supporting the people and organizations that make our creative community thrive.
Today, Houston Arts Alliance Director of Resilience & Recovery Michelle Dobbins presented to the City of Houston’s Resilience Committee, sharing how HAA is working to strengthen long-term stability across Houston’s creative sector.
The presentation highlighted the unique challenges facing artists, cultural workers, and arts organizations, and how HAA’s Resilience & Recovery Division is expanding its focus beyond disaster response to year-round support through advocacy, career and economic mobility, and disaster services.
Our goal is to help Houston’s creative community prepare, adapt, recover and thrive, while ensuring its needs are represented in broader conversations about the city’s resilience.
Thank you to Council Member Twila Carter and the Resilience Committee for the opportunity to share this important work.
