Meet the City of Houston Grantees!

HAA administers City-funded arts grantmaking investment through a process overseen by City of Houston. All five of HAA’s competitive grants are funded by the City of Houston through a portion of Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenue dedicated to the promoting tourism through local arts. Learn more about how HOT revenue supports Houston’s arts sector and cultural tourism.

HAA grantees enrich the city’s creative identity and economy. They sustain jobs, attract visitors, and generate tax revenue that funds the infrastructure Houstonians depend on. City investment in the arts isn’t just cultural enrichment. It’s economic development.
