Here you can discover public art opportunities and resources for artists.

Civic Art, a Houston Arts Alliance team under contract with the City of Houston Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs manages the acquisitions, commissions, and conservation of the civic art collection.

The City's Civic Art Program provides exciting opportunities for Houstonians and visitors to engage with art in parks, public spaces, libraries, and local airports.

CIVIC ART

OUR ROLE

The Aquarius Art Tunnel, Janavi Mahimtura Folmsbee, 2022

HAA’s Civic Art division is an administrative team that makes public art projects happen! Our department was created in 2006 to administer the City of Houston’s percent for art ordinance. We bring dedication and a high level of expertise about public art commissions and conservation to our work with the City of Houston and to other privately funded projects.
